CAMEROON

As of 2010 Conseil Malien des Chargeurs/Malian Shippers Council requires that all sea cargo arriving at Mali borders require a Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) / Bordereau de Suivi de Cargaison (BSC). Some shipping lines may not load cargo without the CTN number. ALERT, . Cargo arriving without a Cargo Tracking Note may be subject of fines and delays.

Cargo Tracking Notes will not be issued at discharge port.

Procedure:

  • Submit the required documents by email or online submission.
  • You will be sent a draft and an invoice, typically within the same day.
  • Once your payment has been received and you approve the draft, validation will be sent.

Timeline:

Once we receive this information, we will issue a draft ECTN and an invoice for fees, once payment is received and draft is approved, please allow up to 48 hours for ECTN to be released by CNCC Authorities.

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2018 ANY SHIPPER FAILING TO OBTAIN THE ECTN AT LOAD PORT WILL BE PENALIZED EQUAL TO 150% OF THE ECTN VALUE.

Below are the required documents for this certificate:

– VGM (Verified Gross Mass)
– Transaction ID Number (single windows)
– Bill of Lading
– Commercial Invoice (this must reflect the incoterms)
– Freight Invoice (required if the freight amount is not specified on commercial invoice)

8.1.2018 — Effective August 1, 2018 any shipper failing to obtain the ECTN at load port will be penalized equal to 150 % of the ECTN value. See details on Cameroon page.
