The FXI (Folder eXpedition Inbound) number is the identifier for the import license created in DR Congo’s GUICE pre-clearance module.
The FXI number is required for customs clearance and to obtain the DR Congo FERI Certificate for shipments with a final destination of DR Congo.
How it is Used
The importer will provide this number to the exporter or freight forwarder to include it in the FERI Certificate when filing with AfricaCTN. It is important this number is obtained early on in the process to prevent delays when submitting the FERI to be validated by the port authorities.
