DRC Requires Feri

The Ministry of Hydrocarbons has announced that DRC requires the FERI. This applies to all Petroleum cargoes arriving in the DRC without the FERI may be subjected to delays and penalties. No FERIs will be issued at the Democratic Republic of Congo.

DRC FERI Required for ALL Cargo

The DRC has implemented increased enforcement of the required FERI for all cargo arriving at their ports. The FERI document must be obtained for all cargo and in-transit cargo. Failure to get the FERI will result in possible fines, delays or refusal to allow the cargo to land in the DRC. The DRC advised that the FERI should be obtained no later than ten days after the departure of the vessel. FERIs will not be issued at discharge or landing place and must be issued at loading.

Shipping Vehicles to DR Congo

DR Congo Requires Original BL

No FERI can be validated with a B/L copy or draft. We can only validate the FERI after receiving the Original B/L with the the ships departure date. The FERI number must also be printed in the body of the Original B/L.
