The DRC has implemented increased enforcement of the required DR Congo FERI for all cargo arriving at their ports. The FERI document must be obtained for all cargo and in-transit cargo. Failure to get the FERI will result in possible fines, delays or refusal to allow the cargo to land in the DRC. The DRC advised that the FERI should be obtained no later than ten days after the departure of the vessel. FERIs will not be issued at discharge or landing place and must be issued at loading.
