The Sierra Leone CTN is a mandatory certificate required for all shipments with a final destination of Sierra Leone. It is the responsibility of the shipper or freight forwarder to obtain the CTN prior to vessel arrival.
The CTN is used to help the efficiency of customs clearance and prevent illicit trade activities. It is submitted fully electronically and there is no hard copy once completed. Final validation can take 72 hours or more so it is important to submit your documents to AfricaCTN with plenty of time before vessel arrival.
This article will explain how to get the Sierra Leone CTN, the requires documents and steps involved from submission to final validation.
