To apply you will need to gather these shipping documents:

• Bill of Lading
• Commercial Invoice
• Freight Invoice
• Optional: Customs Declaration, Export Declaration or additional documents such as certificate of origin or packing list

Step-by-Step Application Process

Once the mandatory documents are obtained, you will begin the application process:

1. Submit: Send AfricaCTN the required documents
2. Draft ECTN and Invoice: Receive the draft copy and invoice directly to your invoice
3. Approve: Check and confirm all details of the draft ECTN matches your documents
4. Pay: Make payment of the invoice so validation can begin
5. Validated ECTN: Issuance of the final validated ECTN number / BESC ready for the importer and customs clearance with the respective customs authorities
