What is the Sudan ACD?

The ACD (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) is a mandatory shipping document for all shipments imported into the destination country of Sudan. It allows customs to track cargo before it arrives, confirm what is being imported into the country, and obtain more valuable information about the shipment. This document is required to prevent delays at the destination port.

All exporters, freight forwarders, and shippers importing goods into Sudan are responsible for obtaining the CTN for the consignee’s cargo clearance.

If you’re shipping multiple containers under different Bills of Lading, you’ll need to apply for a separate ECTN certificate for each. However, if multiple containers share one Bill of Lading and are part of a single shipment, only one ECTN is required.
