To apply for a Republic of Guinea BESC Certificate, you must submit a standard set of documents that provide key shipment details such as the parties involved, goods details and value.

Bill of Lading

What It Is:

A document issued by the carrier or shipping line, confirming the shipment details and voyage information.

What We Need From It:

  • Shipper and consignee
  • Notify party
  • Vessel and voyage
  • Port of loading & discharge
  • Container numbers & seal numbers
  • Description of goods

Important Notes:

  • Draft bill of lading is acceptable

Commercial Invoice

What It Is:

A document showing the value of the goods being shipped.

What We Need From It:

  • Goods value
  • Currency
  • Incoterm

Important Notes:

  • Must match the goods mentioned on the bill of lading

Freight Invoice

What It Is:

A document showing the cost of the ocean freight.

What We Need From It:

  • Freight value

Important Notes:

  • Not required if the freight value is listed on the commercial invoice

Customs Declaration or Export Declaration

What It Is:

An official document filed with customs in the country of export

What We Need From It:

  • HS codes
  • Declared value
  • Reference number

Important Notes:

  • Shipments loading in the USA are exempt from this requirement
