Madagascar’s customs authority has issued a circular outlining the mandatory information that must appear on packing lists attached to the Cargo Tracking Note (BSC) for customs clearance. Non-compliant packing lists will be rejected and will not be validated by the BSC/GasyNet Technical Centre.

In order to facilitate control and prevent the risk of fraud, importers and CAD (Customs Approved Commissioners) are reminded that the weight note and packing list documents must comply with the BSC and the DAU.
For maritime shipments, this document must include the following information for each container presented:
For other shipments (air shipments, express courier cargo, conventional goods), the packing list must indicate the precise and detailed identification of each package (number and total weight of the packages on the LTA or HAWB, number and/or marking of each package, quantity, weight, and description of the items per package).
